Posted By Ian Harries Can anyone help with the following query? I've been trying to find the minimum width of a working platform in relation to retrofitting a platform to a vehicle table lift (HSG 67 talks about working from working platforms/balconies but no dimensions are listed). In 2000 I carried out a risk assessment into working from an elevated vehicle table lift and prohibited the activity due to the risk of personal injury, but it now appears some activities may need to be carried out from a raised lift. The HSE's Construction Regulations Open Learning pack identifies a width of between 430mm to 800mm, and I'm tempted to use these dimesions, but would appreciate any input from members who are in the know. I've also looked through the PUWER and LOLER Open Learning Guidance to no avail. Thanks in anticipation of any help Ian Harries

Posted By Julie Liversidge Have you looked at (GS42)Tower Scaffolds or (GS15) may also help about General Access to Scaffolds. If it a cherry picker type you may need to ask the hire company for Risk Assesments or information?
