Posted By Bob Tuck Can anyone advise on the requirements for Face Fit Testing of DISPOSABLE tight fitting filtering facepieces ? Legislation and official guidance seems to say they are required, however custom and practice seem to differ.

Posted By Paul Leadbetter Bob Fit testing of RPE has always been good practice but tended to be done only where the atmosphere was immediately dangerous to life or health. However, the requirement for fit testing is now included in the COSHH 2002 ACoP. Further guidance is included in HSE document 282/28 which was originally intended for the asbestos stripping industry but which has been extended to cover the use of RPE generally. The document is available online. Paul
