Posted By Leon Zacharow We are looking to get one of our maintenance team trained up to carry out portable appliance testing. Can anyone recommend a company who carry out this training? Many thanks Leon

Posted By Steve Roots Leon Have you looked at outsourcing the PAT testing. I know you said that you wanted to train someone up, but if he/she leaves, is off sick etc, how will the testing be managed? Also you don't have to worry about follow up training. If you want some names of some good contractors, let me know (either email or 07985 003 979)as we have a number who work on our PAT testing contracts across the UK.

Posted By Ian Bruce In my last job, we arranged for a couple of guys to go on a course at the local college. This was was quite cost effective, about £80 each I think. If you are in the midlands, we used North Warwickshire College of Tecnology and Art in Nuneaton. They were very helpful.
