Posted By Diane Thomason Hi all, Some time ago my boss got these figures for occupational ill-health caused by chemicals: One million skin diseases One million bladder diseases One thousand bladder cancers p.a. 30% of all respiratory diseases 50,000 asbestos deaths (2000 p.a.) Up to 10% of all cancers are industrially related (up to 11000 p.a.) Could be up to 20000 deaths p.a. from occupational ill health Does anyone have an up-to-date version of this list, or similar? If so what is the source? I'd be very grateful for any data of this kind. Thanks Diane

Posted By John Malone I suggest you refer to the Statistics section of the HSE Website. When I was trying to get similar figures in 1999 the most useful references I found were- "Occupational Health - Registrar Generals Decennial Supplement" published by HSE in 1995 and "Self-reported work related illnesses in 1995" published by the HSE in 1996 Presumably more up to date versions of these are now available.
