Can I plead for some assistance guys & girls?
If you are willing to share what you have -We are in a desperate need for some generic risk assessments to use as a baseline on which we can develope our own. This is for use in a fifty strong Maintenance department dealing with all the usual maintenance issues. Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel - your assistance would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance

Whilst I cannot help directly, you may like to try looking at a publication called 'Risk Assessment in Construction - Sample Forms'. Published by Construction Industry Publications Ltd, and contains some 80 assessments. (It was first published in 1999, so it will need some updating). The ISBN is 1852639725. It should give you a start in the right direction for many of your activities. Hope this helps.

Your could also use Croner's Construction Risk Assessments, this will give you hundreds of examples relevent to the type of work that you talk about.

In addition to the above, if you ground your approach on the HSE 5 Steps model then you can demonstrate a sound system in which your risk assessments will evolve as they migrate from generic to organisation or site specific which is ideally what all risk assessments should be.
Kind regards

Bill.
I Understand that Tolley's (Lexus nexus butterworth) have just published a set of risk assessment workbooks with generic type risk assessment materials for various types of work, office, industrial etc.
It may be worth having a look at this.
