Insurance Liability of Fire Wardens and First Aiders

I am seeking to give remuneration to Fire Wardens and First Aiders for the work that they do. This is to get rid of the pressed volunteer and get more pro-active individuals. However, I would appreciate thoughts on liability if something happened, as a result of the person not doing their job. I think that as long as they act within the training they have been given then they are covered by Employers Liability as any employee would be. If it is outside their training then it would be a different matter. Thoughts appreciated.

there was a similar if not identical thread to this couple of weeks ago.
I'm sure you could find it by thumbing through or searching.
Basically in respect of EIL your correct.
I also believe there are some behavioural safety web sites out there, as well as the HSE site. Try a search engine, I'm sure you'll get results
