Posted By Ruth Wensley Is anyone aware of useful advice on how to ensure that PPE used in European Countries is up to the standard expected within the UK (mainly boots and hard hats)? Or, is the only way to ensure this to take out our own?

Posted By Dave Wilson Think it should be CE marked which is the standard required throughout the EU not necessarily the whole of Europe. Being a cynic would take my own!

Posted By Jay Joshi It may be an interesting exercise to find out how many so UK PPE "brands" are actually manufactured in UK. As is the case with many products, including PPE, manufacturing bases are at locations where costs are low i.e in countries that may not have an overall mature safety system. That does not necessarily mean that quality of their products is worse!
