Posted By Shane Johnston Anyone know of any substitute for using Chromate paint primers for coating aluminium? We occasionaly brush paint approx 0.5m2 with a Zinc Potassium Chromate primer. I know it's a carcinogen, and have read HSE guidance etc, but my employer states that this is the only substance that gives the desired performance.
