Posted By Richard Could anyone advise me if it a requirement by law that Flt drivers recieve medicals before been able to operate the equipment? Thanks.

Posted By Keith Higgs Richard, There is no legislative requirement for FLT driver medicals as such, unless driven on public roads. For authoritative information see Appendix 2 in "Safety in working with Lift Trucks", HSE Books, 3rd Ed, 2000 where 5 pages cover the subject. Keith

Posted By Bob Matthews AIIRSM Hi, Please read HS(G)6 page 37 appendix 5 This states that a medical should be carried out pre employment and every 5 years from age 40 and annualy from age 65. Thid also gives a list for the nurse to guide her/him Regards Bob
