Posted By tony burton Could someone confirm the legislation governing what miscellaneous equipment a driver must carry on his vehicle when transporting hazardous materials. I understand section 8 of the ADR and The Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regs, what I am not clear about is if it says on a TREM card that other equipment should be on the vehicle such as shovels and brushes etc. then is this a guide or must they be on the vehicle. Hope someone can assist

Posted By Martin Gray Tony, Having spoken with the traffic officers at my station if items are listed on the Tremcard then it is a legal requirement to carry the items under the carriage of dangerous goods by road regs 1996 Regulation 21 applies.
