Here at the Colleg we have a few PAT testers, they all use their own forms to record their work. Im looking into getting a College wide approach.
The different systems these staff use range from a computer based package down to recored on paper, the problem being the staff using the computer doesnt want to change and the paper based one doesnt want to use a computer. Our health and safety committee are committed to getting this approach.
Has anyone got any examples of forms and procedures they would like to share?
Thanks
Ian

Ian,
Whatever system you end up using, I feel that it would be prudent to have a co-ordinator to ensure that portable appliance register is maintained. If you have a large number of appliances a software based approach would be better and less labour intensive.
If you are using a manual spreadsheet, I will endeavour to find one that I used to use. The IEE produce a good code of practice on PAT, it includes formats for spreadsheets etc, that you can use to aid your design.
regards
