Would the 3 consecutive days spent off work include Saturday's, Sunday's and Bank Holiday Monday's - or is this exempt from reporting if it is not part of that persons normal duty.

Thanks in advance.

The 3 days away from work include days on which they would not have been expected to work (like week-ends and public holidays) but not the actual day of the injury. The HSE Guidance (L73)says that a degree of judgement may be needed as to whether the injured person would have been able to work those days if they had been required to do so.

Martyn,

Just a quick point ... it's not 3 days off work, it's 3 days away from the persons normal work. Therefore, if a person normally does manual work and is put at a desk filling envelopes because of the injury, this is reportable.
