Somewhere along the way, I have seen an articulated model of the back (about 15 cm high) used to demonstrate the effects of poor posture in lifting. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks, Paul

I think what you are looking for is called a lifting manikin.

St John Ambulance supply a very good version that includes a small load. It includes a lifting handle that will always provoke a few lewd comments, but also demonstrates the additional stress in the back when lifting incorrectly.

St John Ambulance supplies can be contacted on 020 7278 7888 or you can use the link below to go direct to the applicable web page.

Try Adam Rouilly in Sittingbourne. I'm sorry I don't have a number or web address for them but they make all sorts of medical training aids - their catalogue has to be seen to be believed!
