Posted By Stuart Nagle I would suggest that you refer to: The NRSWA Guide to Signing and Guarding; auditing the signage to ensure it is correct, correctly spaced, of the correct type ect + the need to ensure correct traffic control in areas where the carriageway width is reduced ect... and; The NRSWA codes of practice for inspections, excavations, etc...etc... In addition, checks on NRSWA qualifications. There needs to be atleast one person on site, as I recall with the relevant NRSWA qualifications for each type of reinstatement work being undertaken, beit bituminous, concrete, small element etc...etc... and in addition further aspects of safety could include; risk assessments, safety method statements, PPE, PUWER (Tools, Mechanical plant, vehicles, HAV ect) Shuttering/trench support (for excavations), Hygiene procedures and also for drainage works etc the relevance of the confined spaces regulations. Other areas could include any relevant provisions of the Highways Act in respect of general compliance...
