Another one for you all:

We have a stuident who wants a workplacement with a mobile hairdresser, this person goes to clients houses etc to do her stuff. The hairdresser has got insurance to cover the student, I have been asked to come up with a checklist by our insurers to carry out before the student goes to ensure all is ok. The ones we do for normal work experience wont work as it has things like fire escapes, etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ian

I did one for people assessing student accomodation in peoples' homes. I can't seem to find it unfortunately (an old customer), but I basically made minor changes to a normal workplace inspection.

I had people checking for obvious fire risks and reasonable means of escape for example. Also looking for visible electrical problems etc, certificates for the boiler, regular cleaning, ventilation, heating etc. So not that different to a normal workplace inspection really.
