I am having bother getting Public Liability Insurance renewed. The problem is that I provide H&S consultancy for a mine, which obviously invloves going underground. I only work at this site for 3/4 days per month. Anyone point me in the direction of insurers to approach? Does IOSH recommend any insurers?

The insurance industry do not like to get involved in mine insurance as the government insured them for many many years. So the insurance industry had little experience in this area.

The only one I was aware of was Zuric, they took on some insurance when British Coal was privatised in the early 1990s
