Posted By Bill Elliott It may depend on whether it is indoor or out door storage and the quantities involved but you could do worse than to log on to lpga.co.uk (Liquid Petroleum Gas Association) who are the publishers of a range of material used by the HSE.Regards

Posted By Peter J Harvey You could also read HSG 176 The storage of Flammable Liquids in Tanks, which will give some good clues. You might also like to consider being able to safely isolate the supply and to ventilate the area. How will you know the leak has occurred, also where could the gas escape and settle, are there any drains, pits or sewers nearby.

Posted By Andy Petrie You will need to open any nearby doors to ventilate the area. Evacuate the immediate area and call the fire brigade for assistance. If ignited these cylinders become missiles, they can fly throught the air punching holes through walls and killing anyone in their way. Best way is prevention, ensure they are connected correctly so that a leak does not occur. Carry out a leak test using soapy water on all the joints (any leak will make bubbles).
