Posted By Andrew Hutchinson I have an employee who strips PC's etc for parts/repair but has no formal electrical qualification which is a concern. Can anyone recommend a short course which will cover the basics and be acceptable from a H&S perspective. Thanks.

Posted By Chris Abbott Being an ex-PC engineer myself, there are courses you can attend, which make you a competent person, most colleges these days run courses for "PC Repair Engineer" etc. Best thing to do is get your engineer to register with the British Computer Society - they have an excellent CPD set-up (I'm a member too) and this will your engineer is working towards professional status. http://www1.bcs.org.uk/ Kind Regards Chris
