Posted By Joanne Brookes-Wright I wonder if anyone help. We are due to receive a container which has been fumigated with methyl bromide. Does anyone have any safe working procedures/methods for checking for residues in the container before unloading? Thanks
Joanne

Posted By Neil Pearson I suggest nailing down the quality system in operation at the fumigation, so you can be sure that no residues are left. If this can't be confirmed, you can buy detection equipment for meauring levels of such substances.

Posted By Joanne Brookes-Wright My telephone no. is 0113 2013 313. In terms of quality systems the goods are coming in from Vietnam, so can't even get an MSDS - only document provided is a fumigation certificate.
