Posted By Ian G. Minty As part of an assignment I have to note down the key points (in 500 words) of the resultant legislation. I know that the legislation that resulted was the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987, but as normal with the way acts are written I am struggling to pull the key points together. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ian. My e-mail address is Igminty@aol.com

Posted By John Murphy Ian, Try this link. (http://www.le.ac.uk/snccfr/resources/factsheets/fs2.html). You will see from this that the Wheatly report of 1972 led to the first Safety at Sports Ground Act 1975. Hope this helps
