Posted By Thomas Kennedy Have look at "CMS" (COSHH Management System) software at www.sypol.com. I hope you don't have it already! It's a big data base of substances and assessments - you don't hear many complaints about it.

Just because you don't hear about drawbacks with CMS, don't be suckered into thinking they don't exist!
There are several - like outdated software that makes database searches rather tedious; multiple entries for many common items (slightly different titles); poor material descriptions that don't match what is written on the can/packet/bottle; a surprising absence of some every-day items from the database; having to provide your own MSDS if you want another item added into the database (something that is far more common than the advertising would suggest).
But you get what you pay for - if I had my time over again, I'd probably look for something to give better service and accept a higher cost.
