Posted By Richard Hi all, I have been tasked with setting up a Enviromental Committee. Can anyone give me any advice and ideas? Thanx in advance.

Posted By Robert Paterson Basically it is the same idea as a Health and Safety Committee. Good idea to gauge interest first and then ask people to get invovled with the Environment management programmes if you have any. The committee could consist of a memeber of each department and a memeber of management acting as interim chairman until the committee is established. Invovle the committee in the environment and waste management of the site working along the lines of ISO 14001. The committee could publish a quarterly newsletter to communicate any messages to the rest of the staff- that might be one for the future. There are a few agencies like SEPA (in Scotland),HSE who could advise and help you get started Good Luck in your efforts Robert Paterson
