Posted By Richard Webber Lesley, The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regs (PUWER) covers all equipment such as Dough Mixers. OSRPA still exists, and reflects the Factories Act in many ways and, like the Factories Act, has been partly repealed by new generation legislation such as PUWER.
Hope that this helps.

Posted By Jane Blunt If you go to the repeals and revocations sections of Statutory Instruments you can sometimes find the information you seek. PUWER 1998 (SI no 2306) states that the order, Prescribed Dangerous Machines SI of 1994 is revoked in its entirety.
So far as I know the following parts of the Factories Act remain: s10A, s24, s39, s119, s121-127, s137, s140,s155.
As for the Offices, Shops etc Act, the following remain: s42, s49, s63, s67 s73, s83.
None of these relates to the machinery you mention, so I think it is now wholly governed by the requirements of PUWER.
