Posted By David Mains I work for a large public organisation and find that it is virtually impossible to provide training to all staff who require it (time, resources etc). Therefore, I am investigating the concept of self directed training using packages purchased and made available on the organisations pc's either networked through our own servers or online. I would like to trial a few and then attempt to sell the idea to management by weighing up against the current cost to the organisation of using H&S Advisors to do the training. Obviously these training programmes would not be suitable for all our training needs but I think that it could cover some - DSE for example. My question is - Have any other contributors used any of these packages and if so how did you find they measured up e.g. were they adequate, how much did they cost, value for money???

Posted By Philip McAleenan Davids, I produce on-line training programs for companies who use them on their intranet systems or via CD ROM. You can test one out on our web-site at http://www.confinedspaces.com/ALP/alpindx.htm. If you can provide me with an e-mail or mailing address I can send you further details, Regards, Philip
