Posted By Julian Bedford Australia is basically the same as Britain - it's legal system evolved from the British system and British case law is still used where there has been no Australian precedent. Each State has the responsibility for OHS law and its enforcement - with guidance (and some National Standards and Codes of Practice) published by the national body NOHSC (www.nohsc.gov.au), although getting each of the States to agree on uniform standards is not easy. Posted By Hilary Charlton Hi I have found that the OSHA website for the US is quite comprehensive, from this site you can find all the statutes currently in place. However, this is very different from the system run either here or in Australia and you have to look outside the box to understand it initially - it is very detailed and prescribed.
