I have just been spammed as the coy's Quality, Environmental,Safety and Health punter. I am currently reading their Quality Manual dated 1992. I have been told that BS5750 is now U/S. Does anyone out there know what replaced it and where can I fond info about what it is all about. Is there any other QUENSH Officers out there who could shed some light on this appointment. Many thanks to one and all.

Non-Member Price: £88.00
International Relationships: ISO 9000-2:1997 Identical

Note this replaces 5750 and there is a lot of reading! The link to use is: http://bsonline.techinde...%5FTYP%5FQCK&StartPage=1
I know it is a lot but copy it and then paste it into your Explorer title bar. Searching BSI is free but downloading required membership - the cheapest is individual at £90 and that gets you half price docs! Have fun! Regards, George

If you email me your telephone number (just click on my name above) I'll call you and give you a quick heads-up on the Quality Management Standard ISO9001:2000.

Have you read the IOSH Guide 'Systems in Focus', can be downloaded from the Technical page? Although directed primarily at those thinking about OSHMS, it does say quite a lot about integrated systems.
Also BS18001 has useful tables sowing the parallel requirements of the 3 similar standards.
However, be wary when you get into the detailed 'hazard identification' for Quality and Environmental issues - the principles are similar to OSH, but you can't decide on what controls will be most cost-effective without someone who knows about state-of-the-art good practice in these disciplines, i.e. you may need some professional help.
