Hi,
I'm currently investigating the TOP 10 accidents/injuries that happen with Stanley-type knives (safety/fixed blade/retractable/ snap off ... all brands/all types) in the work place. I'd like to call upon your practical expertise and experience on this matter. If you want to contribute to this global study, please provide me with your contact details and I'll get in touch. Thank you and have a great day.
From: Wendy Maes-Product Research Analyst for Stanley Tools.

I seem to remember the former DTI Home Accident Surveillance Unit doing some research on this subject a few years ago. As this information has been transferred to RoSPA, presumably you will be contacting them as part of your research. I suspect that the ergonomic issues with these knives will not vary much between home and occupational usage.

I know of tool that has greatly reduced the number of cuts from craft knives at one of my former workplaces. Get in touch if you would like details.
