I WISH TO FIND INFORMATION ON THE PURPOSE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF:

CONTRACTOR PASSPORT SCHEMES AND
PASSPORT CERTIFICATION SCHEMES

The Health & Safety Laboratory have just issued a report which reviews UK schemes. Their report apparently concludes with a summary of each scheme and a discussion on the advantges and disadvantages of safety passport schemes. They are based in Sheffield. Contact them for further details.

There are lots of schemes around.

I would urge you to look at the cscs scheme from the CITB which I think is the best at getting some info on H&S in at ground level before issuing a card.
