Can anyone help me with risk assessments for fork lift trucks, we have 3 types, a reach truck, counterbalance truck and an order picker.
There must be more to it than movement of people & vehicles. Our order picker which operates at around 5 metres so I know I have a working at height issue, does anyone know any specific regs or guidance for retro fitting of safety harnesses etc.
Many thanks for any help,

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Have a look at the following:

HSG6 - Safety in Working with Forklift Trucks

L117 - Rider Operated Lift Trucks: Operator Training

INDG199 - Managing Vehicle Safety at the Workplace (free)

HSG136 - Workplace Transport Safety

You can download the free ones and purchase the priced ones from http://www.hse.gov.uk (go to the HSE Books bit)

Regards,

Karen
