Posted By David Froggatt I am currently working on a Government funded research project and would like to hear health and safety professional’s views on current guidance and methods for evacuating disabled building users, how people feel systems based on refuges and evac chairs work and are there better systems? I would like to speak to with as many people as possible to learn from people's experience's and help make informed recommendations to help focus future guidance in this area. I would value any support and information you can offer. Please feel free to contact me. David Froggatt

Posted By Andy Furness Hi David, shame you missed our (Fire Risk Management Specialist Group) meeting in Dublin this week. As part of our groups functions were are involved with roadshows, the topic for Dublin was exactly that evacuation (access and egress) for the disabled. If you contact Mary Sturgess at IOSH I am sure she will be able to send over a copy of the presentation hand out. Mike Leahy who gave the main presentation(Access Audit Company) I fell sure would help with your enquiry as would Dave Sinclair(chair)FRMSG - who delivered a case study I should also be pleased to talk to you, so do contact me by return email I will send you contact details by personnal email regards Andy Furness (vice chair) FRMSG
