Posted By Mike Miller Nick I have access to technical indexes as have found over 50 documents that may be some use to you. I have downloaded one and will attach it to your e-mail. It is quite meaty and it may fail to complete. Please let me know if it does and we will try something else. Perhaps you could be more specific and I could whittle down the info as there is shed loads of it.

Posted By Nigel Hammond Hi Nick Here are a couple of sites http://europe.osha.eu.in...lthcare/indexbytopic.php http://www.healthandcare...onerHomeHealthandCare.do Are you a registered charity? If so you can join the Charities Safety Group? www.csg.org.uk. It's very good, and include's H&S advisers from several major care home providers The CSG web site is not very good yet - practically everything is 'under construction!' but it gives you the contact details.

Posted By Ken Taylor Apart from published care standards, I believe that the other publications relevant to health and safety are generally not specific to care homes but applicable to workplaces or residential accommodation.

Posted By Nigel Hammond Ken just mentioned National Care Standards. If you have not done so already, make sure you look at these. You can get them from the Dept of Health - look at www.carestandards.org.ukfor the website on google.

Posted By garry saunders There is a really useful group called the Safety Business Limited, (020 7637 5047) run by Bettina Ratcliffe. Bettina specialises in safety advice to care providers and has done loads of work in the area gto a very high standard. While it is a business she is very appraochable and may well help point you in the right direction for specific issues.
