Posted By Robert Paterson Hi John I recall reading not that long ago of a company fined for failing to report and accident. I can't remember if was this week or last but the fine was around £4,000 and costs (I think) Maybe others will be able to back this up. Regards Robert Paterson

Posted By Steve Langston Depends under what circumstances: Contravention of any health and safety regulation up to £5000 - summary conviction or unlimited fine on indictment. If served with an improvement notice (i.e. unsuitable accident reporting system etc) and you breach the Notice then up to £20,000 and/or 6 months impisonment summarily or unlimited and/or 2 years impisonment on indictment for contravention of notice PLUS above fine for breach of RIDDOR. Plus bad publicity etc, etc, etc Best not to break the law!
