Posted By ian mcnally Hi, I am looking to carry out a climate survey for my organisation which operates a; Construction, Homes and maintenance division with around 700 employees in the South East. The HSE version doesn’t seem that appropriate and I was wondering if anyone out there has already carried out such a survey that may be suitable or could be easily adapted. Any advice on interpretation of results would also be of great interest/help. If anyone can recommended a company to assist or undertake this works this would be also be useful. Thanks in anticipation. Ian

Posted By Paul Oliver hi Ian, I recall from my days in the hire business that we used to get questionnares from Clients asking us about CO2 emmissions from various items of plant. it may be worthwhile contacting your local hire companies to see if they can shed a bit of light. HEWDEN, Ainscough, A-Plant etc. cheers Paul

Posted By Raymond Rapp Ian, Have you considered designing your own bespoke climate survey? It would not be difficult to tailor your own needs by say 'cherry picking' from the HSE Safety Climate Tool. You could use a Likert (5 point scale)survey which is probably the most suitable for ease of analysis etc. I did a small survey in my company recently and because the survey statements were tailored to my specific needs I got some 'interesting' results. Contact me direct if you would like to know more, otherwise I could recommend an excellant book: Business Research Methods, Zikmund W.G. ISBN 0-03-025817-0 Good luck Ray
