Posted By Alec Wood Very basic PAT testers cost from around 150GBP. These can be used by almost anyone with a very short training. As they become more feature rich, and expensive, the level of understanding required to operate and interpret the results increases. Agreed with the posters above though, visual inspection by the user on a daily or weekly basis will always find most faults before the usually annual PAT test.
