Posted By david baird Dear All, Can anybody help? I have searched the web and can find providers that will train staff en masse in dealing with violence and aggression. But can't find any that actually train up staff to deliver in-house. Does anybody know of a training provider that will train up staff within an organisation to deliver training in dealing with aggression / violence in the workplace. Very much along the in - house manual handling trainer lines? All help greatly appreciated. Cheers, DB

I hope you remember me from my SEPA days!
We use a training firm called Safer Solutions (0208 694 1939). They run courses for us over one and two days. They also do "train the trainer" - we've still to make use of that course.
The feedback for their course so far has been very good. They do a combination of classroom and role group playing. The prices are competitive aswell.
Although they're based in London, I'm sure if you had enough people they would come to Scotland.

Edge Services come up regularly and train trainers as far North as Orkney.
University of Stirling also deliver training for trainers and we have found them very reasonable and accommodating. There are others but these are the 2 we chose to use and have had good service from.

Posted By Alan Parfrey Hi David, I manage "Complete Intervention Training". We specialise in the provision of training in conflict resolution / managing challenging behaviour. We cover everthing -e.g. policy and procedure development, difusion / diversion strategies, personal safety and evaluation to name just a few. We also provide accredited training for in-house instructors which would probably be your best strategy if you have many staff to train. We design the courses around the needs of the customer (i.e. bespoke courses). For more info please contact us on 01926 887776 or email alan.parfrey@completecare-warks.co.uk. Either way good luck. Alan

Posted By Rod Douglas David,
You did not mention what business you are in? I work in The Custodial Estate i.e. Prisons, Detention Centres etc and there are many different courses that can be bought in with regards Personal Protection and Interpersonal Skills, Diffusing Situations etc.
Let me know I may be able to help.
Aye,
Rod D
