Posted By Mike Miller I am not aware of any such device for workplace transport, especially at low cost. Is it not possible to fit speed governing devices? This will be more effective and should not be cost prohibitive Mike

Posted By Dave Thomas Remember when they were building the Eurostar repair depot at North Pole (near Wormwood Scrubs)there was strict site speed limit. Had a guy employed to walk around the site with a hand-held radar gun "zapping" all contractors vehicles. First offence was a warning and think that the second meant that vehicle was banned from site for duration of contract! That was about 8-10 years ago and havent seen a gun outside of police hands since but there must be something out there - immediate suggestion is to try Maplin Electronics or perhaps a google trawl would lead to a supplier. good luck dave

Posted By Craig Lawton It's possible that there is something out there, but to get anything reliable out of them the vehicle has to be travelling in a straight line, also they have to be traveling directly towards or away from the gun. If this is not the case then the reading will be too low and people will get away with it, no doubt causing an increase. Craig

Posted By Karen Todd Martin, I remembered seeing the portable smiley face/grumpy face things that the police use for sale, but I think they are a couple of grand. They display the speed and a grumpy or smiley face depending on whether the driver is above/below the preset limit. It can also be used to collect data which you can download onto your PDA. You would have to put it somewhere where they couldn't avoid it, and no doubt someone would 'accidently' crash into it. Karen
