Hi,
Here is an outline of the units. If you have done the level 4 since last year, then some of the units will directly cross reference. Level 5 is not a "Practitioners" award, so will not give you the qualification to apply to IOSH for MIOSH status
I can send you more detail, if you require. sheknows@healthandsafety.me.uk
Unit G3: Evaluate & develop own practise
Unit H1: Develop & review the organisation's H&S strategy
Unit H2: Promote a positive H&S Culture
Unit H3: Develop & implement the H&S Policy
Unit P11: Develop a strategy & plan for people resourcing change management
Unit H15: Influence & keep pace with improvements in H&S Practice
Unit L2: Identify the learning & development needs of the organisation
Unit B3: Manage the use of financial resources
Unit B5: Secure financial resources for your organisations plans
Optional Units (Choose 3)
Unit G2: contribute to the development of learning within the organisation
Unit C13: Manage the performance of teams & individuals
Unit H16: Develop & implement effective communications systems for H&S information
Unit A2: Manage activities to meet requirements
Unit A4: Contribute to improvements at work
Unit L4: Design learning programmes
Unit L8: Mange the contribution of others to the learning process
Unit P13: Design, deliver & evaluation changes to organisational structure
Unit P14: Contribute to the design, deliver & evaluation of work processes.
Linda.

Ironic is it not. An NVQ level 5 (degree level according to QCA) that is not a practitioner level award.
Originall designed for HSE Inspectors (in its former format - maybe anu new format as well), it would have seemed logical that IOSH would have developed this award level for chartered membership level!!
Still never mind eh!!
