Posted By Emma Forbes Hi everyone, I hope that someone can pass on some of their valuable knowledge to help me solve this situation...... We have a verge cleaning squad who litter pick trunk roads, minor roads etc. I have the risk assessments done highlighting the risks, traffic, noise, cuts and thereon. They are provided with 1 metre high signs which are placed at either ends to where they are working and are provided with high visibility clothing. Someone mentioned yesterday that we would need to perhaps have a lane closure on the particular area that they are working on. Has anyone else had to do this - is it advised to do so - would I need to apply to the relevant section to have a road closure.....any experience of this that you would like to share would be gratefully received. Many thanks Emma.
