Posted By Malcolm Hogarth My technical department have asked me whether I have any risk assessments or policies in respect of allergens such as wheat, milk, flour, eggs and nuts. The short answer is no for the first three and a tenous yes for the fourth. I have explained that for a risk assessment that I would normally work on the principle of the likelihood of harm occurrring and that I would expect occupational health or individual employees to alert me to particular issues.
That being said I suppose I am going to have to look at the identification of the hazards in the first place - and their potential for allergic reactions - and then put something together.
Is there anybody out there who can get me going on the right track?
Many thanks.
