Competent Persons Training For Mobile Craneage Operations.

I am a H&S advisor for a medium sized construction company, based in South London.
I need to find a training company who will
instruct about six of our Site Managers to be certificated and competent in supervising Lifting Operations with mobile cranes.
The training company needs to be based in South East England, as the site managers will not be able to travel too far.
Can anyone impart their knowledge/experience in finding such a company?
Thanks in Advance

Trevor,
have you thought about putting a package together yourself. It should be fairly easy to do if you have an ACOP for LOLER, crane operations are straightforward if you follow basic rules and steps and produce a lifting plan
I do some training along these lines but am too far away to be of use to you. The CITB 5 day SMSTS should have a module on LOLER and it's requirements. If is well taught, this may be worth thinking about as well.
Hope this helps
John

Trevor,
Please be sure what you are looking for before you book a trainer/course.
Are you looking for the managers to supervise lifting operation planned by some other person, or are you looking for the managers to be able to plan and supervise the lifting themselves.
If it is the latter then you are looking for an "appointed persons" course (usually 3 or 4 days)
