Posted By James K Folks, I am hoping that someone out there can assist me in my problem. I have recently started working for the steel & cladding industry. It is a small company but growing very fast. My problem is this..I have contacted both the IRHA ( Irish Road Haulage Ass)and the HSA and asked for guidelines for the transportation of steel IE the placement of skids on the trailers..height restrictions etc but to no avail. Is there anyone out there that works in the industry that can giude me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance. Jim

Posted By Karen Todd Hello James, The National Association of Steel Stockholders has a couple of publications, one of which is called "Load Safety". See http://www.nass.org.uk/publicationsreqf.htm The Department for Transport has a publication called "Safety of Loads on Vehicles" and the link to download that should be http://www.dft.gov.uk/st...age/dft_roads_506864.pdf Regards, Karen
