Posted By Amanda Thorpe My technical director has been on a boys night out and come back with a 'story' about Danish manual handling regs and how severe they are and the fact that before too much longer they will be incorporated into UK law. Apparently they are prescriptive regulations and do not appear to take individual factors into consideration with there being some rules regarding how much weight can be shifted per shift (ie 6 1/2 tonnes). Any one shed any light? I've looked at the Danish OH&S web site, but it's err all in a foreign language!

Posted By John Murgatroyd Cheer up, when the political hue changes all H&S regs will be abolished. You will then be able to insist that every 60kg weakling carries the same as a 150kg giant. And all the "personal characteristics" is useless as well. A bad back is a bad back, whether you're a weight lifter or weight shirker.
