Posted By Jonathan Breeze Regulation 7 (1) of the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regs should do the trick.
It states that:
"Every employer shall ensure that any personal protective equipment provided to his employees is maintained (including replaced or cleaned as appropriate) in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair."
However you may well need to identify for yourself whether the overalls have been provided as PPE or uniform.
Have fun.

I recollect someone being successfully prosecuted when his overalls were washed and the washing water, contaminated with pesticide, killed fish in a local river or stream. If any nasties are likely to be present, the launderer should be warned so that appropriate action may be taken.

Posted By joseph byrne The company i work for Knowing that they must supply a laundry service if they supply reusable overalls etc..., made a decision many years ago to supply disposable overalls, masks etc...which are job specific, this frees people up to do other work rather than being tied to maintaining and recording whose equipment has been checked or not as the case may be.
