Posted By Liam Mc Conalogue Hi All, Does anyone have an accupational health programme out there that employees bought into. I have found it difficult to get construction operatives to buy in. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Liam

Posted By Chas. Mc Breen Liam, We (a Local Authority) operate a wide OH programme. The one element employees "buy into" most readily is Physiotherapy. From initially using this in a managing absence scenario we now provide physio on an employee request basis. The pro-active nature of this has been well accepted and now helps reduce the no. of employees going off in the first place. It is also beneficial given the waiting times for referral to an NHS facility (12-16 weeks in my area). We offer appointments on a week to week basis. Cost of an appointment is roughly £24.00 - against the employers charge out rate of approx £30.00 plus per hour per tradesman. Hope this is of some help. Chas. Mc Breen
