Posted By Phillipe I would like to have a look at a pressure vessel or presure system in order to get a better understanding of the whole PPM thing and the WSE. Would anyone have access to this kind of workplace and mind me popping along to see what and how things happen?

Posted By Karen Todd Hello Philippe, Perhaps the best thing for you to do would be to shadow an insurance company surveyor? I have done this with during inspections on forklift trucks and cranes, slings, etc, but he had come to our company and so had little choice in the matter, but I have to say he was quite obliging. Service engineers are good people to learn from also - I got one to show me how to measure the wear on the chains of a FLT using the gauge, etc and I did some measurements for myself. It has stuck in my mind ever since. Karen
