I have been asked by a leading (I think so) football league club (Name withheld to save embarrassment) if I can obtain Health & Safety Management templates and Risk Assessments for match-day events and pop concerts. Has any member any suitable templates that can help my beloved football club. Also does anyone know of a good right-back.

I haven't any templates Robert, but the HSE have a couple of useful (I think) books that might be a starting point for you. They are;
1. Guide to Safety at Sports grounds. ISBN 0-11-300095-2
2. The Event Safety Guide.
ISBN0-7176-2453-6 (HSG195)
As I say they may prove a useful start point and direct you as to what you should be looking at/including in your RAs and plans.
Good luck in the forthcoming season!

Also consider the requirements of the club's General Safety Certificate (and any special safety certificates) issued under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975. Various publications are also available on the Football Licensing Authority's website ( http://www.flaweb.org.uk/fla.publications.html )

See also HELA Local Authority Circular 63/2 "The Relationship Between The Safety Of Sports Grounds Act 1975 (As Amended By The Fire Safety And Safety Of Places Of Sport Act 1987) And The Health And Safety At Work Etc Act 1974 " at http://www.hse.gov.uk/lau/lacs/63-2.htm

Robert,
Don't your club have a Safety Officer? Try the FSOA (Football Safety Officers Association) at www.fsoa.co.uk

They are all very helpful, if you get stuck I have a lad of material from my recent three years as a League Club Safety Officer.

Regards

Paul
