I remember reading a while ago a thread about H & S on the CI, and how it differed from Mainlanad UK. We have been working out in the CI and it was brought to my attention, a tad late, that the site was well below standard. People were working at height in excess of 2m with no protection, handrail or harness. Individuals slinging equipment and not qualified to carry out the task, and the list goes on.
If there happened to be an accident where would the HSE be involved or does the CI have their own system in carrying out fines etc?
Who could we report the site to?

They are independent of UK administration and the HSE, John. The term 'Channel Islands' usually refers to either Jersey or the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Ring up the States (Government) of whichever one you are in to get the local enforcement number.
