Posted By Sean Fraser I can recommend a clinical psycholigist by the name of Ross Gilmour who has made a number of excellent presentations to people involved in Step Change in Safety, an offshore oil and gas inititive seeking to reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries offshore. Ross Gilmour and Associates are registered in New Zealand but Ross works extensively in the UK, especially with multi-nationals in the oil & gas industry. The presentatinos I have attended have dealt with the subconscious, one involving positive messaging and the other on positive (and negative) reinforcement. Both were fascinating. I think Ross can be contacted through the following website: Perhaps you might want to contact Step Change as they will no doubt have more current info - they can be contacted via the website link below. An example of Ross's work is on the same site - follow this route: Website: http://step.steel-sci.org/ Route to follow: Presentations / Publications> Focal Points Group> Publications> Combined Networks Meeting 2003 Ross Gilmour presentation material Although it look comprehensive I really recommend Ross presenting it - his knowledge and experience as well as inspired presentational methods make it a memorable and thought provoking experience.

Posted By David Muldoon I once saw a speach by some man who was blinded whilst working for, I think, Coca-Cola/Schweppes. I've just been told by a colleague that his names Ken Woodward and he's speaking at an IOSH event in Bolton in september/october time. HTH
