Posted By Phil Burgess We are currently considering the provision of an on site gym for employees use. I would be interested to hear if you have done something similar and what your experience was re take up, long term use etc. We are looking at pre-use health questionnaires to be completed for each user and risk assessment of gym / exercise equipment. Again any experiences in this area would be welcome. Thanks Phil Burgess

Posted By George Wedgwood Try talking to this Group (http://www.sonahealth.com/contact.htm) as the original Grazies (MD Graham Nicoll) started an in-house Gym at Powergen HQ in Coventry in the 90's and it was very successful, providing a very high take up facility and excellent synergy with the company in respect of awareness and training in halth and safety issues as well as provision and management of good risk assessment and maintenance of the exercise machinery. When I was there I occasionally worked with the team on H&S issues and they became part of the HQ h&s committee, helping in managing risks all around with the facilities group. From my preent experiences with Leisure Clubs since leaving PG, I can only say that nothing I have seen so far, could touch them for attention to detail. Hope this helps, George
