Posted By Kym I understand the CDM Reg’s are to be replaced by the New Construction Reg’s 1995 - presently in draft form. Does anyone have any information on the major changes?

Posted By Paul Murphy TechSP MaPS These are to be the Construction Regulations 2005. The provisional programme for the official consultation process is as follows:- Issue Consultation Document late September/October 2004. 3/4 month consultation period. review consultation material. draft new regulations. Introduce new regulations early/mid 2006. Thought to include the integration of the Welfare regs and CDM. PS to become Project Coordinator with role from design through to completion of the construction phase and much greater duties on the client. BUT, we'll find out when the document is published!
